Hi Joe -

Enjoyed the presentation -- thanks. Question for you...

What percentage of business prospects are on Social Media to share information (a publishing approach) versus making a connection (the tradeshow salesperson approach), do you think?

Hi Joe -

Excellent list. I would add two things:

 * In addition to simply "distributing content" onto Twitter, etc., the sales reps should make it a point to have a presence there so they can engage real live people like they would do in a booth at a tradeshow.

* Make the Social Media work prove out for ROI with C-Level Managers by installing Google Analytics and then tracking on site conversions resulting from traffic direct from Twitter and other Social sites.

This is an exhaustive list! One thing I would expand, or reword, is this question: "If someone was not looking for you, how would you want them to find you in a Google search?" The ultimate goal here is to get into the user's head to determine how THEY want to find you. We often get caught up in our own jargon, marketing messages, etc., forgetting that customers don't necessarily use the same pathways to find what THEY are seeking.

Hi Mark...great question. You can use some of the same thinking, but the margins and costs are so different it's much more difficult. I'll add that for another post for sure.

That's great stuff Joe - I'd be interested to know if you would price up a digital project in a similar way or are there any other considerations / changes worth bearing in mind?
